Two models
Both Northland residential models share the same colour range, panel styles, and window options. The difference is insulation thickness — choose R12 for standard efficiency or R18 for the highest thermal performance.

Classic raised-panel profile. Most popular for traditional homes.
More ornate raised panel with colonial proportions.
Recessed panels with grooved detailing — a refined transitional style.

What's the difference between Northland and TOHO? +
Both are Canadian-made residential doors with polyurethane insulation and galvanized steel construction. TOHO offers 8 distinct model lines (including aluminum full-view) and has a 1-week lead time. Northland offers R12 and R18 grades across 7 panel styles with a 2–4 week lead time. The R18 Northland provides the same 2" insulation thickness as TOHO. Ask us which fits your home and timeline — we're happy to walk you through both.
How long is the lead time for Northland doors? +
Current lead time is 2–4 weeks from order confirmation. Lead times may vary based on model, colour, and season. Contact us to confirm current availability and lock in your slot.
Which insulation grade should I choose — R12 or R18? +
The R12 (1⅜") model provides solid everyday insulation and is a cost-effective choice for attached garages that aren't being heated as living space. The R18 (2") model delivers the same thermal performance as our TOHO standard — ideal if your garage is heated, used as a workshop, or directly adjacent to living space. In Ottawa's climate, we generally recommend R18 for anything but a detached unheated garage.
Does Liftime install Northland doors in all of Ottawa? +
Yes. We install across Ottawa and the surrounding area — Kanata, Barrhaven, Orléans, Nepean, Gloucester, Stittsville, Manotick, Riverside South, and beyond. Contact us to confirm your address is in our service area.
Also available: TOHO Doors
If you want the widest model selection (8 lines including full-glass aluminum) and the fastest lead time (approx. 1 week), TOHO may be a better fit. Browse the TOHO catalog →
